Remembrance Day 11-11 plus 11-11 Jesus 400yrs Mayflower

Wow! That’s a lot. See https://blog.canberradeclaration.org.au/2020/11/10/the-mayflower-pilgrims-america-celebrates-400-years-of-faith/

Remembrance Day, Armistice Day, in USA also called Veteran’s Day – key event being the signing of the armistice ending The Great War – World War 1 – at the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918. It is a special time to remember and give thanks.

This year 11/11 also marks the 400th year of the Mayflower anchoring at Cape Cod, Massachusetts https://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/mayflower-docks-at-plymouth-harbor

On November 11, 1620, the Mayflower anchored at what is now Provincetown Harbor, Cape Cod. Before going ashore, 41 male passengers–heads of families, single men and three male servants–signed the famous Mayflower Compact, agreeing to submit to a government chosen by common consent and to obey all laws made for the good of the colony. Over the next month, several small scouting groups were sent ashore to collect firewood and scout out a good place to build a settlement. Around December 10, one of these groups found a harbor they liked on the western side of Cape Cod Bay. They returned to the Mayflower to tell the other passengers, but bad weather prevented them from landing until December 18.

So this year the landing has special significance for the American people facing a degree of uncertainty and has resulted in a call for a special time of remembrance and prayer 11-11Jesus https://www.11-11jesus.com/

On November 11th,  20 million Christians are uniting all across America! After three days of seeking the Lord about our own hearts, we will gather in every city and every state across this land we love. We will line our main streets, encircle the perimeter of the United States and stand on mountain tops and high places, uniting in worship (using only our cells phones)! Then, at 11:00 a.m. (your timewith one voice, we will proclaim that America IS One Nation Under God, that Jesus is Lord and Make a unified Appeal to Heaven! It will roll like a wave across the nation . . . from the east coast to the west coast!

Watch the video and listen to the special song “As one we stand”.

And we especially need to pray for Joe Biden (in so many ways) and Donald Trump (in so many ways).

How do we pray? For submission to God for wisdom, clarity of vision, to know what needs – and does not need at this time – to be done. For physical and mental strength, for good leadership in God-honouring ways. And also Lord, in Your mercy, for an easing of the pandemic.
