#8 Fear-of-God. Voting intelligently and ethically.

How not to “waste” your vote.

The Australian Christian Values Checklist is a valuable resource to help in choosing parties.

Family Voice has a very good adv comparing the two major parties on p53 of The West Australian 16 May and I imagine in most national papers. Their website has an excellent overview of the voting system as well as the election guide.

Specifically for West Aussies, Australian Christians have a guide that not only suggests an order of votes but also includes the detail of which party the candidate is with – a very “honest” presentation. Note that in some instances AC has preferenced the candidate rather than the party when it has ascertained that the candidate holds strongly to the values of AC.

How-To-Vote cards for West Aussies:

State wide HTV card is here. Individual seat HTV cards here. (yes, sites are trustworthy)

Remember, if you put your minor party first (hopefully Australian Christians) and they don’t get in, your vote FLOWS ON AT FULL VALUE to the next candidate or party you have selected. YOUR VOTE IS NEVER LOST.

If you vote for three minor parties and none of them are elected your vote still flows on to the major party you have selected – but YOU MUST INCLUDE YOUR MAJOR PARTY OF CHOICE ON THE SENATE LIST amongst the 7 selected or that vote will be lost.

So, with lower house number every box. With upper house (the long paper) number at least seven along the top line, putting your Christian parties and Australian Conservatives (or candidates if you wish to use the lower section) first and then your major party.

Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth.  Serve the LORD with fear and celebrate his rule with trembling. Psalm 2:10 NIV.

The Fear-of-God
builds up
confidence,
and makes a world
safe for your children.
