the Fear of God

articles and meditations for the 2019 federal election – but relevant for every election

The Fear-of-God
builds up
confidence,
and makes a world
safe for your children.
Proverbs 14:26 The Message

Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth.  Serve the LORD with fear and celebrate his rule with trembling. Psalm 2:10 NIV.

If we, as informed Christians, support politicians and educators
whose firm commitment is sexual confusion by indoctrination of our children,
then we too are guilty of allowing our little ones to be led into sin.

The Fear-of-God builds up confidence, and makes a world safe for your children.

Proverbs 14:26 The Message.

If only!!

There was a time when the fear of God meant something, “when committed Christians were known as God-fearing people. This was a badge of honour.” (Jerry Bridges).

What does it mean?

It is much more than simply being scared and has been described as a mixture of reverence, awe, worship, or “a sovereign respect for God, and makes us dread, above all things, to offend Him.” (Jacques Forget). It should also entail a desire to please Him, to receive His pleasure and to be fearful of no longer receiving His pleasure.

It means a wanting to obey Him and His rules, statutes, laws, principles, precepts, decrees and ways as per Psalm 119.

If only all peoples were to have a healthy Fear-of-God. Then we would have a world safe for our children.

Easter reminds us of the determination of the authorities and the fickleness of the people that resulted in the crucifixion. We see the hate that blinded the eyes and deafened the ears to the miraculous evidence that Jesus was of God, in fact the Son of God and the promised and longed-for Messiah.

Fear of God did not come into their considerations.

Here in Australia we are facing what could be the most critical election of our lifetime. Some stated policies are the most anti-God and anti-Christian that we have ever seen – a defiant rejection of doing things God’s way, a seemingly total absence of any “fear-of-God” coupled with a determination to do things “my way” regardless of the consequences to our children and our children’s children.

What do we want to ensure a safe place for our children?

From the Canberra Declaration we have freedom of expression, freedom of conscience, freedom of belief – even freedom to change belief – and to live in accord with such belief without fear of accusation of intolerance or hate-speech.

Intrinsic to freedom of expression is the freedom to debate.

Such freedom is essential for democracy.

Also enshrined in the Canberra Declaration is the need for stable family with marriage between a man and a woman guaranteeing children their biological birthright to a mother and a father with its proven track record in protection, education, welfare, support and nurture.

The third important set of values being the intrinsic value of human life in all states of disability and dependency providing a sure protection for future generations.

Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth.  Serve the LORD with fear and celebrate his rule with trembling. Psalm 2:10 NIV.

#2 The Fear-of-God. A search gives you clothes and very expensive shoes!

Oh dear!

Jerry Bridges “there was a time when committed Christians were known as God-fearing people… a badge of honour”, we need to make more of the fear-of-God.

To have a healthy Fear-of-God is a realistic and essential attitude. It should at the very least be a strong deterrent to do wrong. It is foundational to a healthy church fellowship. It is good for society and the attitude is reflected – as per the Canberra Declaration – in the preamble to the Australian Constitution “Humbly relying on the blessing of Almighty God”.

With this attitude we find our God is overwhelming in His goodness, love and forgiveness. His Son died in our place and now sits at the Father’s right-hand making intercession for us! How good is that?

But “fear of God” designer wear and shoes – some actually with “fear of God” emblazoned on them – ranging from $500-$1500AUD? I think maybe to stamp the fear of God into the opposing team on the basketball court, but it sounds like a deliberate slap in the face of God – like many of the proposed policies that are put forward to rule our country. A rejection of God. A flagrant thumbing our nose at God’s laws and precepts for good living and a healthy society. A significant lack of any Fear-of-God.

It would seem that many politicians, and those who would be, have no Fear-of-God. We need to pray for them.

Psalm 33: 8-9, 10-12 speaks to us and our nation. Let it be known.

 Let all the earth fear the Lord;
let all the people of the world revere him.
 For he spoke, and it came to be;
he commanded, and it stood firm.

 The Lord foils the plans of the nations;
he thwarts the purposes of the peoples.
But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever,
the purposes of his heart through all generations.

But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him,
on those whose hope is in his unfailing love

Also 2 Sam23:3,4

‘When one rules over people in righteousness,
when he rules in the fear of God,
he is like the light of morning at sunrise
on a cloudless morning,
like the brightness after rain
that brings grass from the earth.’

And 2 Chronicles 19:5-7

He appointed judges in the land, in each of the fortified cities of Judah.  He told them, “Consider carefully what you do, because you are not judging for mere mortals but for the Lord, who is with you whenever you give a verdict.  Now let the fear of the Lord be on you. Judge carefully, for with the Lord our God there is no injustice or partiality or bribery.”

Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth.  Serve the LORD with fear and celebrate his rule with trembling. Psalm 2:10 NIV.

#3 The Fear-of-God: when shame is a necessary ingredient

When governments deliberately introduce legislation that permit evil – and even to compel it – shame is appropriate and needful.

The trouble is that the parliamentary members who introduce such legislation – particularly when the issue at stake is the intrinsic value of human life – usually also have no concept of what it means to Fear God.

Even when the issues are crystal clear. Such issues can be the shredding of an unborn baby limb by limb, right through to term, for any reason, when it is capable of feeling pain. Or the compelling of doctors to be part of the process.

The absence of fear, the absence of shame, is reflected in the following historical record:

“It was the ninth month and the king was sitting in the winter apartment, with a fire burning in the firepot in front of him.  Whenever Jehudi had read three or four columns of the scroll, the king cut them off with a scribe’s knife and threw them into the firepot, until the entire scroll was burned in the fire.  The king and all his attendants who heard all these words showed no fear, nor did they tear their clothes.” Jeremiah 36:22-24

In just a few verses we get a glimpse of complacency, arrogance, ignorance and contempt for the message of God that so characterises some people of any generation.  There is no humility, no respect, no remorse, no fear, and no shame.

And in our time

“Repugnance, here as elsewhere, revolts against the excesses of human wilfulness, warning us not to transgress what is unspeakably profound.

Indeed, in this age in which everything is held to be permissible so long as it is freely done, in which our given human nature no longer commands respect, in which our bodies are regarded as mere instruments of our autonomous rational wills, repugnance may be the only voice left that speaks up to defend the central core of our humanity.

Shallow are the souls that have forgotten how to shudder.”

Leon Kass 1997 The Wisdom of Repugnance

But shame is also appropriate and necessary for the person who understands when evil is promoted and yet remains silent.

“When principles that run against your deepest convictions begin to win the day,
then battle is your calling, and peace has become sin.
You must, at the price of dearest peace, lay your convictions bare before friend and enemy
with all the fire of your faith.” Abraham Kuyper

“The hottest places in hell are reserved for those who, in times of great moral crisis, maintain their neutrality.” Dante.

“If I profess with the loudest voice
and clearest exposition every portion of
the truth of God except
precisely that little point which the world
and the devil are at that moment attacking,
I am not confessing Christ, however boldly I may be professing Christ.” Martin Luther

And shame is also appropriate and necessary for the person who, when presented with a clear choice at the ballot box, votes for the promotion of evil.

From http://www.chooselifeaustralia.org.au/life/20172018-mourning-into-dancing/

Shame on all who sin against the weak and powerless.
Shame on all committing sin against children.
Shame on those who in order to maintain “respectability” cover up the sins of others.
Shame on all those who failed to protect.
Shame on all those who failed to warn.
Shame on all those who failed to warn of the consequences of proposed legislation – not only failing to protect but failing to prevent the facilitation of evil to children.
Shame on all those who did not love their neighbour sufficiently to warn that their children were at risk.
Shame on pastors who failed to warn of the danger and thereby failed to protect.
Shame on all those who voted for the party that was determined to bring in same-sex “marriage” and “safe-school’s programs”.
Shame on all those who voted “yes”.
Shame on all MPs who encouraged and voted for SSM regardless of the consequences.

We need to declare who we are without fear. In our relationships in society may we be unafraid in upholding our liberty to believe, the honour and value of marriage and family as God gave it and the innate value of all human life as created in the Image of God – all of which are expressed so well in the Canberra Declaration.

Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth.  Serve the LORD with fear and celebrate his rule with trembling. Psalm 2:10 NIV.

The Fear-of-God

confidence,
and makes a world
safe for your children.

#4 Fear of God: God’s Creation is a Safe Foundation

We should have a proper sense of wonder, awe and respect for God’s creation.

The prophet Isaiah said it well (40:25,26)

“To whom will you compare me?
Or who is my equal?” says the Holy One.
Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens:
    Who created all these?
He who brings out the starry host one by one
and calls forth each of them by name.
Because of his great power and mighty strength,
not one of them is missing.

Rebellion against God inevitably and crucially involves rebellion against his Creation which underpins so much of ethics and morality. It is foundational.

God’s Creation Order.

  • Man created in the Image of God “let us make man in our image”

All human life has intrinsic value in all states of dependence and disability from fertilisation to life’s natural end.

It is attacked through: abortion; euthanasia; physician assisted suicide; destructive embryo research; embryo de-selection and eugenics including sex selection and Down Syndrome genocide; babies accidentally born alive after abortion procedure and left to die; after-birth abortion; cloning, chimeras and cyborgs. See medicinewithmorality.org.au

Ultimately to control all reproductive and life processes, to create life and design it according to our own wishes, “cleansing” the human race for the future and in the meantime eliminating all that is deemed less than perfect.

Personal autonomy to the exclusion of any God influence. Eden and the Tower of Babel revisited. To be free of the Creator God, to render Him unnecessary and be our own gods. We will be in control of our own lives and will choose how and when to die and choose the same for others.

Terrorism. Not putting the same value on human life, eliminating whole communities by conquest and genocidal killing with Christians as prime targets.

Further pushed from within by the atheistic lobby and “God-haters”; atheistic or naïve genetic experimenters; leftist social engineers.

Remember: permission becomes compulsion. Apart from the destruction of social order also at threat is liberty of conscience and discrimination in employment.

  • The creation of Masculinity and Femininity (“bone of my bones, flesh of my flesh”)

So much more than having physical intercourse but nevertheless includes the Creation Mandate to “Be fruitful and multiply”.

It is attacked through: gender fluidity and transgenders; be whatever sex you like – you are in charge of your destiny – you are your own god. The rebellion against God’s design of “natural” intercourse.

Pushed by: the gay lobby, leftist social engineers and the PC brigade

Remember: permission becomes compulsion. Apart from the destruction of social order also at threat is liberty of speech, of belief and to teach our children. Further specific attacks through public education e.g. Safe Schools Coalition Australia, “Respectful Relationships” and now re-badged yet again as “Inclusive Education” encouraging to declare sexual preferences early leading to identity confusion and also experimentation in sexuality.

Loss of liberty to speak about the dangers of these lifestyles and discrimination in employment and business.

  • Marriage as a specific subset of sexuality and a Creation Mandate; “one flesh”; “for this reason shall a man cleave to his wife”

It is attacked through: the destruction of marriage as an institution, pushing “marriage” and “family” as we choose and then discarding it as a useless concept with complete sexual freedom.

The decline of the West is achieved by intrinsic moral decay and by declining birth rate to demographic winter

Pushed by: the gay lobby, leftist social engineers and PC brigade

Remember: permission becomes compulsion. Apart from the destruction of social order also at threat is liberty of speech, of belief and to teach our children, even around the kitchen table. Loss of liberty to speak about the dangers to society and discrimination in employment and business ultimately also threatening parenthood and, in particular, Christian parenthood. The attacks are unprecedented.

  • Stewards of Creation – animal kingdom and the earth – bring order, subdue, care for, work.  Inclusive of a Sabbath rest – and God saw that it was good, and rested.

It is attacked through: failure and neglect leading to ecological disaster; mis-directed economics with chemical or radio-nuclear contamination and de-forestation; deliberate destruction through war with possibility of nuclear disaster.

We ignore the principle of a Sabbath rest to our peril.

Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth.  Serve the LORD with fear and celebrate his rule with trembling. Psalm 2:10 NIV.

What did Jesus say?  A direct application for today.

Firstly, Jesus affirmed the creation story. Matt 19:4-6 “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female, and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’?  So, they are no longer two, but one flesh.”

The warfare against heteronormativity – male and female – is an unprecedented rebellion against God and His Creation. We must preach and teach the fundamentals of creation and their application – male and female (no spectrum), its complementarity as the ordinance of marriage and the Imago Dei – to be created in the image of God.

Secondly, Jesus explained and affirmed the command (Luke 10:27) to love our neighbour. Loving our neighbour and our neighbour’s children means not only caring for them in present calamity but also warning against approaching calamity (e.g. a flash flood) or helping to protect their future from encroaching evil – in this instance state mandated sexual indoctrination.

Loving our neighbour is not optional.  “Hate evil and love good, then work it out in the public square” (Amos 5:15 Msg)

Thirdly, Jesus saidwhoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea” (Matt 18:6).

Jesus’ condemnation re leading children into sin is quite specific as is its judgment. Other evils that concern us do not merit the same specific judgment. May this truth be reflected in our thinking and our living.

If we, as informed Christians, support politicians and educators whose firm commitment is sexual confusion by indoctrination of our children, then we too are guilty of allowing our little ones to be led into sin.

#5 Fear of God: Defining issues. Discerning good and evil. 2019 Implications for Voting.

The Fear-of-God builds up confidence, and makes a world safe for your children. Prov 14:26

Which policies may we put into the category of “un-safe” for our children and what defines this choosing? Which policies show a lack of respect for and “fear” of God?

We can generalise from the previous article #4 Fear of God: God’s Creation is a Safe Foundation  that rebellion against God inevitably and crucially involves rebellion against his Creation which underpins so much of ethics and morality.

We may also generalise from the lessons of history and the underpinnings of Western Civilisation as shown for instance in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights as will be shown in the next article on the Aussie “fair go”.

Clearly then, laws that disregard the principle that all human life has intrinsic value in all states of disability and dependence from fertilisation to life’s natural end come into this category and party policies that exhibit this disregard should not be supported.

A critical example of this is Labor policy supporting the extension of abortion – even late-term abortion – to be available through all public hospitals, free of charge, for any reason – even including “wrong-sex” of baby. Labor also supports legalisation of physician-assisted suicide.

This is Principle 1.

There are zero choices other than save or kill. Saving the mother’s life is not a factor in deciding yes/no as labour can be induced without deliberately choosing to kill the baby first. See the Dublin Declaration and many of the submissions by Medicine with Morality.

Principle 2. Legal compelling of participation in evil once the evil itself has been legalised – one evil on top of another.

As we have seen with Section 8 of the Victorian Abortion Law Reform Act 2008 doctors can be compelled by law to participate in the abortion process either by performing it or by referral to a doctor who will perform an abortion. In this, permission has become compulsion.

Another example of this is the proposed law to criminalise so-called “conversion therapy” assisting a person who wants to change sexual orientation. Therapists (no definition yet so it includes doctors who may be involved in counselling) are only permitted to reinforce the person’s present orientation, not assist in variation. Clearly such should be left to the ethics of the various therapist’s organisations and, of course (!) the patient/client’s wishes. How dare a government say it is illegal for someone to seek counselling for change.

A further example of this compelling is the charging of parents who will not affirm their child’s wish to transgender. Also see what is child abuse?

Principle 3.

Crushing by law of the freedom to discuss and debate the issues concerned by “anti-discrimination”, “religious vilification” and “hate speech” legislation. Labor wants to further expand the limitations on freedom of speech.

Principle 4.

Educational indoctrination by the state of “gender fluidity”;acceptance of homosexuality as a valid lifestyle with implied experimentation to find out; choices re virginity (at least two); and access to pornographic and sadomasochistic sites with instructions how to hide from parents. Labor policy even includes funding for “gender affirming” treatments including chemical castration and mutilating sex-change surgery such as bilateral mastectomy. As a result of such ideology we are now seeing a significant rise in the number of children presenting with gender confusion.

Principle 5.

The further erosion of parental values by the compulsion (yet again!) of private schools – that are chosen for their values – to accept teachers that do not accept those values.

I submit all the above are very clear choices influencing voting, choice between right and wrong, good and evil, all influencing a world safe for our children.

Principle 6.

A little less clear as it may involve parental vs government responsibilities are issues where government could ensure a safe place for our children, for instance clean-feed internet as a default that needs overriding.

Other issues that will influence voting are those that involve the “how” rather than the “yes/no” (rightness /wrongness) of the issue and include rightly concerning issues and justice

  • Indigenous health, housing and education
  • Refugee intake particularly for peoples suffering religious persecution and genocidal threat
  • The management of asylum seekers entering illegally
  • World nutrition and poverty.

While the needs may be clear there is disagreement as to their resolution and the quantity of relief. The relief of world poverty can be through non-government aid organisations or government (I prefer the former and its methods of distribution) and there are competing strategies to protect our own industries and future vs development of the nation in poverty. Christian mission and aid agencies have been at the forefront of relief and development.

Less clear however is the issue of “climate change” despite it being made into a critical electioneering issue. Yes, of course emissions should be reduced and forests conserved. But there is appropriate disagreement as to the severity and impact of the problem and its causes, whether suggested methods of control will be effective, and will they have other negative effects and international implications that affect our future economy and industry. As with other contentious issues people who wish to debate the current mantra are simply dismissed as “climate deniers”.

I applaud all who work for the marginalised in and out of our country and all who work as stewards of creation. I applaud efforts to have good enshrined in party platforms. These matters however with their varying solutions pale in comparison to the former principles when it comes to the ballot box. They involve the “how” rather than the “yes/no”.

Remembering, with respect to a world safe for your children, the words of Jesus whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea” (Matt 18:6).

Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth.  Serve the LORD with fear and celebrate his rule with trembling. Psalm 2:10 NIV.

#6 The Fear-of-God and the Aussie “fair go”.

To be given a “fair crack o’the whip” – to be given a chance; to have a fair go – has been a part of our national identity and heritage and is now, once again, being promoted as a political slogan.

What does it mean and which policies should we regard as being important for a fair go? Which “fair entitlements” are currently under threat.

What do we want and cherish most?

A fair wage for a fair day’s work? Equal opportunity for education?

We tend to take for granted the right to have food in our tummy and clothes and personal safety. Yes, all these things are important and we know that some miss out, even in this “the lucky country”.

Freedom to vote in secret. Perhaps at a more basic level, freedom to barrack loudly for your favourite footy team or player without fear of being labelled.

So yes, freedom to be, freedom to live. Freedom to speak, to believe, to think, to debate, to choose, to express an opinion.

Further, freedom from class distinction, freedom to do well with minimal interference from government intervention or micro-management or taxes crippling enterprise.

In summary, I suggest, the Aussie “fair go” means the freedom to

  • express our beliefs and values
  • bring up our children in families that facilitate sharing of these beliefs and values
  • join together with like-minded people who share these beliefs and values in mutual association
  • set up educational facilities consistent with these beliefs and values and the liberty to exclude influences that are contrary
  • state these liberties without fear of accusation of intolerance or hate-speech

These freedoms should sound familiar to all with even the slightest smattering of necessary history.

1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights https://www.un.org/en/universal-declaration-human-rights/

Article 18.

Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance.

Article 19.

Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.

Article 20.

(1) Everyone has the right to freedom of peaceful assembly and association.
(2) No one may be compelled to belong to an association

Article 26.

(1) Everyone has the right to education. Education shall be free, at least in the elementary and fundamental stages. Elementary education shall be compulsory. Technical and professional education shall be made generally available and higher education shall be equally accessible to all on the basis of merit.
(2) Education shall be directed to the full development of the human personality and to the strengthening of respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms. It shall promote understanding, tolerance and friendship among all nations, racial or religious groups, and shall further the activities of the United Nations for the maintenance of peace.
(3) Parents have a prior right to choose the kind of education that shall be given to their children.

These values, these freedoms are at risk with many of the policies being promoted at this election time – paradoxically by those shouting loudest about the fair go.

#7 Fear of God: truth has stumbled in the streets

Re the shutting down of freedom of speech and religious expression.

Re the art of name calling and labelling to discredit before a view can even be expressed.

So justice is driven back,
and righteousness stands at a distance;
truth has stumbled in the streets,
honesty cannot enter.
Isaiah 59:14

Name calling and labelling to discredit and dismiss. Racist, homophobe, transphobe, intolerant, bigoted, flat-earther, climate denier, even Christian “oh, but you’re Christian aren’t you”.

For example, following a submission to the Senate in 2012 by Doctors for the Family the signatories were “investigated” as to whether they were church-goers or had other Christian connections. Most of them were because that is where the signatories had been sought and so the critics said – even though the case made was a medical/social one and not Christian at all – that the submission should be completely dismissed. Further that the names of doctors should be made known so that people could avoid attending these doctor’s premises.

In 1941 CS Lewis touched on this in an essay Bulverism: The Foundation of Twentieth Century Thought.

The modern method is to assume without discussion that he is wrong and then distract his attention from this (the only real issue) by busily explaining how he became to be so silly. In the course of the last fifteen years I have found this vice so common that I have had to invent a name for it. I call it “Bulverism.” Some day I am going the write the biography of its imaginary inventor, Ezekiel Bulver, whose destiny was determined at the age of five when he heard his mother say to his father – who had been maintaining that two sides of a triangle were together greater than the third – “Oh, you say that because you are a man.” “At that moment,” E. Bulver assures us, “there flashed across my opening mind the great truth that refutation is no necessary part of argument. Assume your opponent is wrong, and then explain his error, and the world will be at your feet. That is how Bulver became one of the makers of the Twentieth Century.

You will find a very entertaining visual presentation of this essay at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DH53uFBOGbw

Following the resignation of one of the Senate submission signatories from the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission it was stated in an editorial in The Age 15 May 2012

However strongly people in power might resent the right, citizens should not be denied free expression. Democracy is healthiest when contending views are exposed to debate and rebuttal. A politically constrained and uninformed ”debate” is a step towards authoritarian rule.

We have seen this denial of expression at work over the last few years in the shutting down of meeting places where renowned speakers have been known to disagree with the prevailing thought on sexuality. In August 2018, at the University of Western Australia, a meeting was scheduled to hear visiting paediatric endocrinologist Professor of Child Health Quentin van Meter and the venue had to be changed a day before due to student activism.

As we know, following the legalisation of “same-sex marriage”, Labor and Greens tried to further increase the teeth of anti-discrimination legislation by the removal of existing exemptions for religious schools and charities from the Sex Discrimination Act and have promised to do this if elected.

The past year has seen the amazingly rapid advance (!) of the transsexual agenda and the label of “transphobe” to discredit presentation of the obvious binary nature of sex.

Sometime the transsexual bubble will burst. In the meantime children are being damaged emotionally by failure of simple, loving affirmation of who they really are and ultimately scarred hormonally and – horrifyingly – physically.

And we are seeing clusters of children caught up in this madness.

The most extraordinary thing is that this propagation of madness on our small children is by state indoctrination through our education system by legislation including the threatened criminalisation of professionals who do not affirm the transition of gender in counselling.

And compulsion of faith-based schools to employ teachers who do not share the same values effectively preventing the schools from requiring teachers to model the faith that is taught and embodied by the school community (Labor policy platform pg181 para236, 239)

And parents accused of abuse unless they also affirm transition so home-schooling would not be an option to escape this indoctrination.

Thankfully there are an increasing number of voices from “ex-transsexuals” and feminists and sports people – particularly sportswomen! – but even they are being silenced. Yet Labor policy is to withhold funding from sports organisations that fail to include transsexuals (Labor policy platform pg195 para347).

Even the LGBTQi movement is starting to fragment with the feminist part of the “LGB” realising the “T” threat to the place of women in society – sport, change facilities, career advancement, place in business and politics, everything they have worked for over decades – by the transgender movement and male-to-female incursion into their personal space and realm.

Thankfully the incongruence of transition to a “fixed” male/female sex by hormones and surgery, in total opposition to “gender fluidity”, is being recognised.

But to then classify these differences as being fluid or dynamic “genders” along a spectrum using such terms as masculine and feminine (how weird is that when they are trying to neuter those terms) and then to reinforce (always) these artificial constructs by “treating” with hormones or the amputation of sexual organs into – wait for it – the newly fixed (not fluid) pseudo-biological polar opposites of male and female is a mind-boggling twist.

To argue on the one-hand that there is no polarity, no heteronormativity, and then to amputate sexual organs in order to achieve what they have been trying to eliminate is a travesty with irremediable consequences to the individual concerned.

Enough of the name calling and silencing.

But if you, at the ballot box, vote for Labor then you are voting for evil to be brought upon our children.

Lachlan Dunjey 17 May 2019

——————————-

Postscript re the future if Labor achieves a working government and introduces its policies:

Eventually the transsexual bubble must burst but in the meantime the twin evils of institutional indoctrination and compulsion to go along with this – and criminalisation of those who will not – will have been written into the law of our country and it will require a catastrophic acknowledgement of wrong to reverse it.

When the enormity of the harm to our children is fully realised Labor policy will have suffered a humiliating defeat.

Cultural Marxism through education will be discredited.

Will Labor’s previous leaders who still believe in the honourable ideals that Labor used to hold speak out against the self-destruction of their party?

#9 Fear-of-God. Post-election day thoughts 19 May 2019

Lord, I have heard of your fame;
I stand in awe of your deeds, O Lord.
Renew them in our day,
in our time make them known;
in wrath remember mercy.
Habakkuk 3:1 NIV

How do you do it God? Surely you are a God of miracles. You answered the prayers of your people above and beyond our understanding.

Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
How unsearchable his judgments,
and his paths beyond tracing out!
“Who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has been his counsellor?”
“Who has ever given to God,
that God should repay them?”
For from him and through him and for him are all things.
To him be the glory forever! Amen.
Romans 11:33-36 NIV

Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. In a loud voice they were saying:

‘Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain,
to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength
and honour and glory and praise!’

Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying:

‘To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be praise and honour and glory and power,
for ever and ever!’

The four living creatures said, ‘Amen’, and the elders fell down and worshipped. Rev 5:11-14

Lord God, we thank You and praise You for answering our un-spoken (and un-thought of) prayers in putting Scott Morrison in as leader of the Liberals and PM and now elected in his own right to be PM for the next three years. Lord, we pray that might be three times three.

We pray for Your protection of him spiritually, mentally and physically and for his family.

We ask that you lead him with the Mind of Christ within him and with Your Holy Spirit continually present, guiding, inspiring, overruling, protecting. May he always be humble before You.

Lord, and in Your mercy, may You also teach the members of Parliament working with him to fear You, and in Your great mercy other members of our government as well. In Your most glorious and powerful Name and for Your glory. Amen.

#10 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Matt 10:28

Following on from #5 Fear of God: Defining issues. Discerning good and evil. 2019 Implications for Voting we can add principles 7 and 8.

Principle 7.

Issues that involve the “how” rather than the “yes/no” (rightness /wrongness) of the issue and include rightly concerning issues and justice (as per #5 above)

  • Indigenous health, housing and education
  • Refugee intake particularly for peoples suffering religious persecution and genocidal threat
  • The management of asylum seekers entering illegally
  • World nutrition and poverty.

Principle 8.

Separating the relative importance of “eternal” vs “worldly” (in a good sense of stewardship) of these matters that rightly concern us.

Re “Climate Change”. Climate doom may kill the body but not the soul. “Leading little ones into sin” far outweighs the risks of climate and its very debatable causes and remedies.

Re Environmental responsibility and alleged Climate Change (as per #9)

  1. May they be seen as separate but interconnecting issues
  2. Yes, stewardship of the environment is a God given “Creation Mandate”. There are obvious things on which we all agree like pollution (air, land, oceans), environmental destruction (deforestation), industrial pollution, care of the animal kingdom (animal husbandry) and need handling in their own right but not necessarily in alleged climate change
  3. May whether Climate Change is
    • actually occurring and
    • to what degree of severity be clear
    • the actual alleged effects be clear e.g. on Great Barrier Reef, size of Arctic and Antarctic ice etc
  4. May the alleged “causes” become clear scientifically. (I find it weird that Christians and other God-fearing people who believe in our God-given responsibility to care for nature should be the ones most opposed to the prevailing philosophy that it is all our fault and what should be done about it – recognition of an evil world conspiracy. Cornwall Alliance.)
  5. Once truth is told re causes may then what do do about it globally be more clear
  6. And then what is Australia’s responsibility in this
  7. May truth be told re “clean coal” and other issues of energy.

May truth be told in our education systems.

#11 Fear-of-God

SHAME!  On all those who get young schoolchildren to demonstrate for their cause.

Particularly when there are so many differing levels of action or no action.

This is sheer manipulation of a gross kind.

Small kids crying for our world.

Raising anxiety and fear and a sense of powerlessness.

THIS IS ABUSE.

Pet Hate: manipulating kids for political purposes.

Re schoolchildren out of school protesting re climate change

PS just imagine if we organised a demonstration against abortion and told kids about ripping limb from limb in second-trimester and putting the parts together and aborting girls because we wanted a boy… and told them “oh, we’re pretty sure they don’t feel pain, but if we have to operate on them we do give them an anaesthetic”. Would they be allowed to participate? No, of course not, for that would be child abuse (but shredding a baby inside the “safe-house-womb” is not??

See below written 2006 re 100 diabetic children taken to Parliament house to lobby for destructive embryo research.

100 Children – Eugenics in our society

Juvenile Diabetes – do we “cure” or do we just prevent by elimination?

A comment on the news that 100 children were part of the group from the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) lobbying at Parliament House for increased federal funding Nov 1, 2006.  As the JDRF is known to promote research on embryonic stem cells (ESCs), was it just coincidence that they were there the week before debate on the Patterson bill to legalise cloning for ESCs?  Whether this was an overt part of the agenda is not known but certainly it will be used by pro-cloning MPs to push through the bill.

But the issue for the children is much bigger than a possible cure – which is more likely to come through research on non-embryonic sources such as adult stem cells (ASCs).

Don’t these children know they are the next discardables??
Don’t they know that PIGD (pre-implantation genetic diagnosis) will prevent them from existing?
Don’t they know they will be eliminated at 18 weeks if PIGD fails to pick them up?
Don’t they realise they might be eliminated as babies before they become “persons” – that is, before they become “self-aware”?
Don’t they know that parents in the future will be regarded as “genetic outlaws” and “dissidents” unless they agree to such elimination?
Don’t they understand what is at stake once we start looking at relative values and who should live and who should die?
Why aren’t they scared?

Adult stem cells are their ONLY HOPE of achieving cure while maintaining that all human life is of value.

The utilitarian philosophy that espouses destructive embryo research “for the greater good of society” will lead to their elimination before cure.  Cure will be by elimination!

Have you noticed that our beautiful Down’s Syndrome people are disappearing?

Have you seen the superb publicity for people with disability – upholding the intrinsic value of all human life wonderfully?  Open Your Mind. Count us in.

Did you know there’s a waiting list for adoption of Down’s Syndrome children in the USA? Did you know there is a move in UK to eliminate autism?  Because the majority of autistic children are males the proposal is that in families with a history of autism that all males will be de-selected.

Achondroplasia (a form of dwarfism) is another “discardable”.  Don’t tell Senator Dr Alan Eggleston.

Parents in England have won the right (The West Australian 2/11/04) to select and de-select their babies according to the risk of developing bowel cancer in later life.

Where do we stop?  Do we allow selection to eliminate high cholesterols from our world?  It sounds attractive, doesn’t it?  Do we eliminate congenital deafness and what does even asking that question say about how we view the deaf in society?  Can we have a perfect world?  If the answer is ‘yes’ then surely we should also consider characteristics such as athletic ability – at least because we will have a healthier society with less consequent cost to our health system.  Will longevity be a selection criterion?  And if so will it be because we consider that living longer is an advantage to society or will we consider it undesirable because of an increased cost to society in terms of caring for our aged?  Or will we select a desirable age to live to and if so what age and what will we do with those who are threatening to live longer than that age?

Now there are very educated and persuasive voices pushing for these things.  Indeed the costs to the community of disability have been calculated** and this has led to the labelling of parents who do not agree to have their babies “de-selected” as “genetic outlaws.”

So prevention by elimination – according to these voices – is better.

This is the inevitable result of the push to devalue the human embryo by cloning human life for the purpose of destructive research.

We must protect the weak and the vulnerable at all stages of existence otherwise we open the door to the discarding of human life at any stage depending on the value we attach to it.

In the field of medical science we must not sacrifice one human life for another.

All human life matters.  This is universal truth.

Lachlan Dunjey.  3 Nov 2006.

**PS re Now there are very educated and persuasive voices pushing for these things.  Indeed the costs to the community of disability have been calculated….”

Yes, even in our national parliament. In 2008 I had an hour before a Senate Finance and Public Administration Committee re Inquiry into item 16525 for mid-trimester abortion 14-26 weeks during which the costs to the disability services budget was raised should we allow disabled babies to be born.

Although it was denied this was presented as a “reason” for eugenic abortion and therefore continued funding of second trimester abortion the implication in favour of continued funding was crystal clear to all present. The paper concerned had achieved 41 signatures

#16 Fear-of-God: Australia – a safe place for your children

The Canberra Declaration highlights family, faith, freedom and life. The introduction states these fundamental principles.

A Safe Place for our Children

Protect our Children’s Future with

  • Values that last
  • Education that matters
  • A community that cares

To ensure these things we promote

  • A society in which all people matter and life is precious – from fertilisation to life’s natural end
  • Where all life is honoured and children are protected from all forms of abuse, including the unborn
  • Where care is provided for those who need it and carers are honoured and are helped
  • Where physical and mental health is promoted and there is access to early intervention for emotional health problems
  • Where the aged are honoured and cared for
  • With adequate financing of Palliative Care for those with terminal illness
  • With prevention and early management strategies of drug addiction, prostitution and gambling – including control of all who attempt to ensnare in these

A community in which to belong

  • seeking to involve young and old, integrating all nationalities, with a special emphasis on migrants and refugees – involving and celebrating our indigenous people – reinforcing an Australian consciousness
  • Special care for indigenous people – meeting their needs in ways that encourage responsibility and are not paternalistic – consideration of justice issues and their right to ‘belong to the land’
  • A media environment where positive values of family, friendship and community are celebrated – a tightening of censorship and classification of movies, video and games.  No public financing of the glorification of obscenity in the Gay Mardi Gras that would not be tolerated if it was heterosexual

Encouragement of the ideal nurturing family with a mother and a father

  • Upholding and defending the institution of marriage as the union between a male and female to the exclusion of all others
  • A safe home where positive values of respect, dignity, responsibility, and truthfulness are honoured
  • Provision of pre-marital enhancement courses, marriage enrichment courses, and free counselling to prevent the horrific cost of family breakdown
  • Spouse income splitting for tax minimisation to facilitate the staying home of mothers that choose this

Choice of education

  • That does not conflict with the values you seek for your children.
  • Preservation of teacher selection
  • Values education that promote respect, dignity, responsibility, and truth
  • Drug and sex education that majors on proven abstinence strategies
  • Ceasing all promotion of homosexuality as a valid alternative lifestyle
  • Education through to conclusion of first tertiary degree should be free.
  • Long-term planning of employment requirements and opportunities

Responsible long-term resource planning with care and respect for our environment with particular attention to

  • Energy supplies
  • Renewable resources such as water and forestry
  • Responsible use of agricultural and pastoral lands with recovery of damaged land
  • Mining
  • Waste disposal

And we demand the freedom of speech to promote and defend these matters without fear of anti-discrimination or intolerance legislation.  We include in this the right to free respectful discussion of religious beliefs and the right to debate these beliefs without fear.

For family, justice and integrity!

What does this mean?

Emotionally/spiritually secure family parenting even around the kitchen table; sense of responsibility to “our neighbour” here and elsewhere; responsible citizens – local/global

Educationally

Protection from noxious influences; institutionalised “leading little ones into sin”; safe-schools, respectful

Physically home, streets, work; medical care

Environmentally preservation of conditions favourable for future existence

  • Small (but eternal) picture: our kids are increasingly exposed to temptations seemingly approved by community and increasingly mandated by bad government – “Safe Schools” and “Respectful Relationships” now rebadged yet again as “Inclusive Education”; increasing control over what we teach in our homes – even “around the kitchen table” which is where Professor Gillian Triggs the previous Chair of the AHRC wanted to get – and schools. Erosion of family values. Transgender “rights” with mutilating surgery. The urgency is now.
  • Bigger national (also eternal) picture: increasing restriction on freedom of speech; freedom of conscience and expression of conscience; freedom of belief – freedoms mandated in international covenants. We are currently observing the 50th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in which these freedoms are mandated and to which Australia is a signatory. Progressive devaluation of the intrinsic value of human life as created in the Image of God evidenced by the promotion of abortion – even more extreme – and euthanasia, viable babies being “accidentally” born alive after abortion and left to die, embryo selection even for sex of baby (yes, even before “it” has decided what gender it is going to be – so how do the parents know which baby to kill?). Then there’s the surrogacy battle right now and the move to deliberately create the situation for children to be brought up without a biological mother and father by single men – when will it ease? The urgency is now.
  • international (also eternal) picture: the suffering church; religious/cultural conflicts and persecution of Christian minorities increasing year by year; decay of “western” civilisation and Christian values; the changing roles of the superpowers; the intrinsic enmity between the children of Abraham; the peace of Jerusalem. The urgency is now.
