Enough! As it was in Bethlehem, is now. These contrasts between good and evil and are real for us here now.
Jesus is pro-life. The story of Christmas is about life, its protection, and the granting of new life. Forgiveness and restoration.
And as we are reminded of the contrasts of that first Christmas, we are also conscious of the contrasts of our own time, of the revolt against God’s perfect Creation Order and against humankind created in the Image of God – perhaps no better illustrated by two very recent happenings in France
The King of Kings is born in Bethlehem and the heavens are open to wide-eyed shepherds.
And He is coming again in judgment and glory.
Yes! Let us lift up our heads and Celebrate. Sing, dance, exchange gifts and good wishes. Forgive, be at peace with one another. There is something bigger than ourselves.
In light of the fact that we are now given a surprising and unparalleled opportunity to influence the “life” future for the USA let us be faithful in prayer that the Christian people Donald Trump has gathered around him will be able to influence and support a God-honouring basis for his presidency and that he will essentially be or become a “God-fearing” President.
Even more outrageously, CCR is claiming that Lively’s pro-family speeches were “international crimes against humanity” are comparable to the Nazi crimes in WWII. CCR is attempting to sue Lively in a United States courtroom using a law from the 1700s. Read more here.
The lawsuit against Pastor Lively has been ongoing since 2012 and has garnered international notoriety. To a normal observer, the extent of this lawsuit strains the imagination that a court would allow it at all. But to the LGBT activists, it makes perfect sense.
“…and your neighbour as yourself.” If we see a flood coming and we do not warn our blind neighbour then we have failed to love him.
Last evening I was privileged to be present at the Perth book launch of Dr David van Gend’s book “Stealing from a Child: the Injustice of ‘Marriage Equality”. Its truth needs telling to all.
